Residents, visitors, or staff can honor Abernethy Laurels employees for providing excellent customer service by filling out a WOW card. Out of all the monthly cards, a WOW winner is selected for special recognition.
This month, Sheila Hooper is our spotlight employee. Sheila was nominated by another team member, who wrote, “You wowed me when you spent time and had patience training me. I enjoy working with you!"
Sheila has served for approximately four years as a certified dietary manager, guiding and instructing employees to prepare and serve food for general and modified diets. She also guides them in regard to food sanitation and storage, assigns and reviews work, and establishes annual goals and objectives.
When asked what advice she would give to colleagues, Sheila stated, “Always be patient and provide care from your heart! This is their home, and they deserve our best!”

This month's recipient of our resident council's award is Tracy Gordon from our Environmental Services Department! She was nominated for her hard work and outstanding customer service.
