Residents, visitors, or staff can honor Abernethy Laurels employees for providing excellent customer service by filling out a WOW card. Out of all the monthly cards, a WOW winner is selected for special recognition.
This month, Rita Fields is our spotlight employee. Rita was nominated FOUR times, including by a family member who wrote, “You always have a positive attitude, you always comment when you see my loved one or me, you work quickly and efficiently, and you treat patients with care and respect!"
Rita has served as a CNA (certified nursing assistant) for approximately 34 years and excels at providing excellent patient care. She also helps prepare our short-term rehab patients for a successful discharge.
When asked what advice she would give to colleagues, Rita shared, “It is so important to work as a team! There are many days when the housekeeping supervisor, Danielle (who is also a CNA), will jump in and help me answer call lights or assist residents with ADLs (activities of daily living). I couldn’t do it without the help of my co-workers. We all started somewhere, so be respectful to everyone and be willing to help them out!”
Thanks, Rita, for your hard work and dedication! #abernethylaurels #everyage #EmployeeAppreciation #employeespotlight
